Today the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) has released its annual Sustainability report. Its eighth report reveals how green and clean the UK industry is becoming - slowly. The headline figures will grab your attention: a cut in total annual CO2 emissions by 36.5 percent over the past four years.
U.S. light-vehicle sales rose a modest 4 percent to 1.19 million units last month, with Volkswagen AG, Ford Motor Co. and General Motors setting the pace as automakers overcame severe winter weather, higher taxes and rising gasoline prices to keep the industry's recovery on track.
Porsche's 911 Carrera GTS has proved to be yet another potent weapon for enthusiasts craving power and speed. Now comes a touch of all-weather capability in the form of an all-wheel-drive model packing 408 hp. Called the Carrera 4 GT3, the pocket rocket pushes out 23 hp more than the Carrera 4S.
